What do we do
Developmental Disability Services
We offer a variety of programs and services that enhance growth, independence, and quality of life for individuals with special needs, including children, adolescents, adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
Our person-centered approach emphasizes individualized care, community integration and customized employment, with the goal of empowering individuals to achieve both personal and economic independence.
Community Integration
KAMS’ Day Services and Personal Support Services offer transitional and rehabilitation support to individuals so that they can take an increasingly active role in their community.
Individuals create personal goals, learn skills, exercise independence, and participate in recreational activities within the community.
Employment Services
Our organization was founded on the belief that every human being has potential and that work is transformative. Our employment services therefore focus on matching an individual’s unique interests and skills to the hiring needs of employers.
Once employed, our retention specialists continue to work with individuals and employers to ensure job success, through case management, job coaching, advocacy, and other job supports.
Personal Supports
KAMS’ Personal Support Services works with over 30 consumers living independently in their homes by teaching a variety of daily living skills and opening the door to both
community and peer integration.
Our Direct Support Professionals work closely with families to ensure that the services we offer to our customers are tailored to the individual’s unique situation.
Respite
KAMS ’Respite Care Services are temporary supports that give a person and their family, or other primary caregiver, a break from daily routines based on their need.
Respite can be planned or used in an emergency situation.
